The summer outing at the Canal Museum was a great success. See our photographs.

Summer outing August 23rd 2018

The Canal Museum at Kings Cross is well worth a visit.  A large group of Hornsey Pensioners visited on August 23rd. Most of us travelled there by minibus organised by Ann Anderson.

The canal boat trips that pass through the tunnel eastwards from Kings Cross take only a limited number so we went in two groups.

There is much to see at the museum. It was originally built around 1863 as an ice house warehouse for Carlo Gatti. He became famous both as an ice importer (from Norway), restauranteur and ice cream maker.   Find out more from www.canalmuseum.org.uk/
